When restoring antiquarian books we perform
the operation sympathetically. We keep and use as much of
the original binding. There are of course instances where
time or misuse (or accident) have taken their toll. We keep
and stock contemporary papers, plates, boards from over
300 years. These are available for the seamless repair of
